The de Saisset Art Gallery and Museum was founded through a bequest by Isabel de Saisset, in memory of her brother, Ernest who was a former student at Santa Clara University. He was a talented painter and many of his works can be found in the de Saisset Museum to this day. The museum is one of only two museums in the South Bay that is accredited by the American Associations of Museums.
