Energy conservation is an area in which everyone can become involved, and Santa Clara University looks forwarded to being a leader. The simple task of turning off lighting will greatly assist in conservation efforts.

Santa Clara University was recognized by the EPA as a leader in reducing carbon emissions and purchasing green power.

Santa Clara University recently was recognized as a top performer for Waste to Energy totals. In 2010, Santa Clara diverted 1.72 tons of filter waste from the landfill and helped to generate 1032 kWh of renewable energy.
