On-Campus Residency Requirement and Room Selection Information
In support of the residential nature of Santa Clara, and the University’s commitment to integrated education, full-time undergraduate students are required to live on campus during their first and second year unless the student has been approved for an exception or space is not available to accommodate this requirement. The class year is based on the total academic years in college. On-campus residency is required until a student is in their third year of college. More information on the Residency Contract Requirements is available on the On-Campus Living Website.
Current First-Year Parents/Family Members: The room selection window for current first-year students begins February 29, and occurs between 9:00am-5:00pm each business day until March 7. If your desired space is not available (e.g. has already been reserved), it is imperative that you pick any space available to ensure you have a place to live. If you are unhappy with the space you selected, you can add yourself to the room change waiting list.
Current Sophomore and Junior Parents/Family Members: The room selection window for current sophomores and juniors, looking to live in the University Villas, begins February 26 and occurs between 9:00am-5:00pm each business day until February 28.
All students who applied by the deadline should have received an email last Friday with their room selection date and time.

Spring Quarter Insights: Registration Recap and Essential Resources
Course registration for the Spring Quarter occurred from Tuesday, February 20 to Friday, February 23. I hope the tips I shared with you were helpful to your students during this process. Although the initial registration window has closed, students still have the opportunity to add, drop, and change courses through the first week of the Spring Quarter.
If your students experienced difficulties registering for a class they needed, encourage them to seek assistance from their advisors, department managers in the relevant subject area, and the faculty teaching the course. While success is not guaranteed, initiating these conversations can be beneficial for your student.
Spring Quarter is around the corner and The Office of the Registrar recently released the Undergraduate Spring Quarter Virtual Book. This comprehensive resource offers details on crucial deadlines, class schedules, degree requirements, and the Final Exam Schedule for the Spring Quarter.
