Heat Illness Prevention Program
The SCU Heat Illness Prevention program is designed to prevent heat illness by establishing training, controls and work practices to protect workers who work outdoors. This program outlines the requirements for employees and supervisors to comply with this program.
EHS has created an online Heat Illness Prevention training course for those employees working outdoors to inform them of the potential issues associated with exposure to heat. Please contact Sean Collins to be enrolled into the course.
Injury and Illness Prevention
The purpose of this program is to establish a procedure that will help to ensure the health and safety of SCU employees by preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace.
IIPP also includes:
A process for reporting injuries, illnesses and incidents if they occur and the necessary steps for preventing re-occurrences.
