Preparing for Emergency Situations
An emergency or disaster can occur at any time with little or no warning. Being prepared is our best defense; an emergency can become less serious with proper planning on how to react to such situations. To assist members of the campus community with reporting and dealing with emergency situations appropriately, Emergency Procedures have been developed. The most common emergencies, which have occurred in the past, as well as those most likely to occur in the future are documented. The SCU Emergency Procedures Handbook includes:
- Standard emergency procedures
- Contact information on a per emergency basis
- Step-by-step assessment criteria for use on a situational basis
- Precise instructions on proper handling of situations
