Space Data
Through software called Visual Map, customers now have the ability to gain a wide breadth of information about the building and room details on our campus. Visual Map is highly interactive and serves as a dynamic interface between AutoCAD floor plans and the FAMIS database. It conveys FAMIS space –related data to end users in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-understand fashion. All floor plans on campus are available for viewing through Visual Map.

Main Functions
General Tool Box: Zoom In/Out and Pan Functions allow customers to navigate throughout the building floor plans. Additional tool box options allow customers to measure lengths to scale and print out floor plans with or without themes and labels.
Theme: By selecting a “theme” from an easy to use drop-down menu, the floor plan in view will become color-coded according to a legend on the left side of the parameter panel. Multiple different data types may be viewed, including building maintenance, custodial services, emergency and health services, and four different types of space data: area range, floor surface, owner group, and room data.
Tabular Report: A report of all current work orders associated with the floor in question can be viewed in a spreadsheet resembling report. This can be viewed by selecting “Building Maint – Work Order Status” then clicking on “Tabular Report” as seen in the figure above.
