Ergonomics is an applied science that involves creating and designing the workplace to fit the worker in the best way possible. The purpose is to increase safety and productivity in the workplace by making the worker feel comfortable.

• Assessment is reviewed by the Environmental Health & Safety Manager
• An ergonomic catalog is sent to the employee who was given the assessment enabling him or her to purchase needed items

To submit an ergonomics request, please send an e-mail with the subject labeled as Ergonomics Request. Email

Placing an Ergonomics Request

Please include the following information:

• Requestor name & extension
• Department of employee receiving assessment
• Location of assessment including building name, and room number
• Available times for assessment to occur
